Open Access Policy
AI in Human Sciences provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. AI in Human Sciences is an "open access" journal that gives online access, free of charge and other access barriers. This work is licensed under a CC BY 4.0 license.
AI in Human Sciences also supports the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing which defines an open access journal as one which grants a "free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access to, and a license to copy, use, distribute, transmit, and display the work publicly and to make and distribute derivative works, in any digital medium for any responsible purpose, subject to proper attribution of authorship" and from which every article is "deposited immediately upon initial publication in at least one online repository".
As an open access publication model, AI in Human Sciences enables a free-of-cost dissemination of refereed research to the global community. AI in Human Sciences is committed to achieving the highest quality of interdisciplinary research to drive progress in understanding the intersection of artificial intelligence with humanities and social sciences. Authors publishing with AI in Human Sciences retain the copyright to their work, allowing the articles to be re-used and re-distributed without restriction as long as the original work is correctly cited.
AI in Human Sciences has been established to support students, scholars, researchers, professionals, scientific societies, and academic institutions to achieve their goals in navigating the evolving relationship between AI technologies and human sciences. By fostering collaboration across disciplines, AI in Human Sciences supports researchers in communicating discoveries that bridge technological innovation with humanistic and social science perspectives, contributing to the development of AI systems that are ethically sound, culturally informed, and beneficial to human understanding, learning, and development.
Similarity and Plagiarism Policy
1. Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works, with appropriate citations for any referenced materials.
2. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited by AI and Humanities Research.
3. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using Turnitin to assess the similarity index and potential plagiarism.
4. Direct quotations from the author(s)' previously published works or other sources must be enclosed in quotation marks and properly cited.
5. The overall similarity index must not exceed 15%.
6. The similarity index from any single source must not exceed 3%.
7. Authors must declare in the author agreement form that their manuscript meets the similarity requirements.
8. If a manuscript exceeds the 15% similarity threshold, it may be rejected outright or subjected to conditional acceptance at the discretion of the editorial board.
9. Authors may be given an opportunity to revise their work to align with the journal’s plagiarism policy.

Authors must disclose any use of generative AI tools in the writing process. This includes AI-powered text generators such as:
* ChatGPT
* Claude 2
* Google Bard
* Bing Chat
* Microsoft Designer
* Notion AI
* ChatGPT W/internet
* Midjourney
Authors should specify:
1. The AI tool used and the extent of its involvement in the writing process.
2. The impact of AI tools on their manuscript, including how they influenced content, structure, or style.
3. A proper citation or acknowledgment of the AI tool if applicable.
4. This policy does not apply to essential tools used for grammar checking, spell checking, or reference management, which do not require disclosure.
Declaration Statement of Generative AI Use:
"The author(s) of this work used [AI tool name] to [describe the specific use, e.g., draft sections, generate ideas, or improve readability]. After utilizing the tool, the author(s) reviewed and revised the content to ensure accuracy and take full responsibility for the final manuscript."
